Paymetric Offers Verified by Visa and MasterCard® Secure CodeTM

Electronic commerce includes a unique security challenge in supporting payment cards for both buying and selling: sellers can't obtain and validate a customer's signature, nor can they record the contents of the magnetic stripe on the back of the card. With Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode, online transactions can be executed with confidence that the cardholder is authorized to use the card and the transaction is protected against "cardholder unauthorized" chargebacks.

Paymetric solutions support Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode

What is Verified by Visa?

Verified by Visa is a service that uses personal passwords or identity information to help protect Visa card numbers against unauthorized use, providing an extra level of protection for buyers and for sellers. Once activated for a specific card number, online purchases require that the buyer authenticate each transaction with a personal password.

What is MasterCard SecureCode?

MasterCard SecureCode is a service designed to provide online retailers the added security of having online transactions authenticated by individual cardholders. When a MasterCard cardholder pays online with their MasterCard, a box pops up asks for their personal SecureCode, just like the bank does at the ATM. In seconds, the card issuer confirms user identity and allows the purchase to be completed.
