Technology Veteran Gary Epple Joins Paymetric as Vice President – Development

Houston, May 17, 2005 – Paymetric, Inc., the leading provider of SAP-integrated payment card solutions, has named 25-year technology veteran Gary Epple to the position of Vice President – Development. In this position, he will oversee Paymetric’s software development, quality assurance and other technical initiatives. Paymetric co-founder Brett Walker will focus on managing product architecture and strategy in the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer.

Epple comes to Paymetric from his recent role as Vice President of Product Engineering at Austin, Texas-based Clear Commerce, a leading provider of fraud prevention and payment processing solutions, which was acquired by eFunds in January, 2005. At Clear Commerce, he spearheaded process and product transformations within development and customer support. He also played a key role the company’s strategic repositioning. Prior to ClearCommerce, he led the software development teams at other Austin-based companies, including: CALEB Technologies, SAN NewCO, Confiniti (where he later served as President and CEO), Dazel and Hal Computer Systems. Epple holds a B.S. with honors in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Connecticut and completed coursework toward an MS in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State.
